To go from strength to strength means to become increasingly successful, usually over time. For example, “The company has gone from strength to strength since making the move to the new location.”

 

The idiom “no stranger to success” means to be familiar with success because of having achieved it in the past.

Example: She has been a professional dancer for years and is no stranger to success, having won multiple awards.

 

This idiom means to have a special talent or skill for something. Example: Jo has a knack for playing the piano, always finding themselves able to pick up complex pieces quickly.

 

To be quick on one’s feet means to be able to think quickly and come up with an answer or solution quickly in a given situation.

Example: The debate tournament taught me to be quick on my feet when I’m under pressure.

 

This idiom refers to someone’s ability to do complex calculations and calculations related to numbers with precision and accuracy. For example, “My brother has a good head for numbers, he was able to finish his calculus homework in record time”.

What qualities do you think are needed for success?

 

successful business person you know“I think that there must be a number of important qualities for success, especially having a positive mindset, determination, as well as self-discipline and resilience. 

 

For example, if you have a positive outlook you can stay motivated and continue to work hard no matter how challenging the task is. 

 

As well as that,determination will help you set achievable goals and remain focused until you reach them. 

 

What’s more, I guess self-discipline would be very important, and can keep you organised and on track.

 

On top of that, I think that successful people need to be resilient, which  will help them to persevere and get back up even if they experience failure. The combination of these traits will help you create and execute successful plans and reach your goals.”

 

 

 

 

 

Which do you think is more likely to be successful, a family business or a big company?

 

“That’s quite a difficult question, but personally,I think a family business is possibly more likely to be successful because family members are usually passionate about the business and objectives. 

 

They know the importance of its success and are more likely to put extra effort into making it succeed.

 

 On top of that, they may have more intimate connections with customers and can provide better, and a more personalised service. 

 

On the other hand, I think that big companies can easily become over bureaucratic and it’s hard for them to give priority to personal relationships.

 

So, In my opinion, I believe that smaller businesses with close family ties have a better advantage.”

 

 

 

 

 

Do you think that people have to make sacrifices to become successful?

 

describe a successful business person you know“Yes, generally speaking, I think that people have to make sacrifices to become successful. It’s like a trade-off, and sometimes in order to get to the top, you have to overlook the small, everyday things.

 

 For example, maybe you don’t get to spend as much time with your loved ones as you’d like, or maybe you even have to move somewhere new. 

 

I think that requires a big commitment that some people may not be willing to make. Personally, I’m willing to make changes in order to reach my goals, but obviously this isn’t for everyone.”

 

 

 

 

 

What are some examples of family run businesses in your country?

 

“In _____________, many families typically start their own businesses. Some common examples I can think of are restaurants owned by families, bakeries by family members, as well as lots of family owned clothes shops.

 

 I personally think that family-run businesses are very beneficial since they bring a sense of warmth and togetherness to the community. 

 

As well as that,it allows those of the same family to bond with each other, since working together can be a great source of joy and understanding. I guess, It’s no wonder why so many people choose to open family businesses!”

 

 

 

 

 

What qualities should be considered when recruiting employees?

“When recruiting employees, I think it’s important to consider a number of things like their skills, qualifications, and work experience.

 

On top of that, It’s also good to look for people with positive attitudes, who work well as part of a team, and who are eager to learn new things. 

 

What’s  more, I think that being honest, reliable, and hardworking are also essential qualities.

 

 In my opinion, another important trait is someone who is passionate about their job and willing to give it their all. I believe that all of these qualities are important when recruiting new staff.”
