GENERAL RULES FOR ONLINE CLASSES

 Please make sure to carefully read the rules and cancellation policies of online classes before beginning your class.

 

  1. The student should choose the class platform (zoom, skype,wechat,zalo) at least 24 hours before their first class in order to learn how to work within the system. Make sure to have the platform connected 10 minutes before your class.
  2. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they have the necessary technical requirements and internet connection before class begins.  Any technical difficulties during the class that are the responsibility of the student cannot be reimbursed if class time is lost.
  3. Double check that you have a stable internet connection BEFORE your class starts. Take into consideration that if other people in your home or office are downloading files, watching videos or playing games on the internet, etc, it could interrupt your internet connection and class.
  4. Students must be on time for the videoconference; we will not make up class time due to late arrivals. Check your course schedule.
  5. It is strongly recommended that students actively participate in each class.
  6. Students must demonstrate appropriate social behaviours in class; the appropriateness of their behaviour is determined by the teacher.  For example, talking on the phone during class or to a person outside of the class could lead to being disconnected from the class.
  7. In the event your current teacher is not available to facilitate class (due to sickness or a last-minute emergency), we will cancel the class, and you can either choose to reschedule or a full refund.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

If the student is unable to start class, a 100% program refund can be requested but no less than 48 hours from the program start date. If the student has not requested a refund prior to 48 hours from the course start date, refunds are not applicable. The refund request must be in writing and sent to: tutor@ielts85.com

 

Once lessons have begun payment is non-refundable. IELTS85 does not, under any circumstance, give cash refunds to students who do not or cannot finish the program for which they have registered.

 

It is the student’s responsibility to comply with the established schedule.

 

A complete no-show results in the loss of class.

RESCHEDULING PRIVATE CLASSES

The rescheduling of online private classes is possible; however, keeping in mind the goal of globally maintaining a high-quality service, and in consideration of the detailed scheduling facilitated by IELTS85  permits the rescheduling classes. In order to reschedule, the student must:

 

Reschedule by notifying your teacher by email within 12-hours of your class start time; notification less than 12-hours is not valid and results in loss of the class.

 

Rescheduled classes must occur within the confirmed course dates and ideally be rescheduled during the same week of cancellation.

SUSPENSION OF PRIVATE CLASSES

If once the program initiates the student wants to suspend classes, the suspension can span no more than 4 weeks; we allow only 1 suspension request per course. Kindly note that upon restarting the class schedule may vary due to tutor availability. In the case the student cannot restart classes within the maximum 4-week suspension time frame, the program will be terminated without refund.  Suspension of studies requests must be sent in writing to tutor@ielts85.com

By starting your first class, you hereby confirm to have read the general rules & cancellation policies and confirm to be in agreement with such.
