Is fishing a popular pastime in your country?
“Yes,It is. Fishing is actually very popular here. A lot of people love to get out and give it a try, from kids to adults. I think It’s a great way to get out in the fresh air, as well as being a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.”
“Yeah, fishing is very popular here, and there’s a huge lake near my home where tons of people go to fish for different kinds of fish. It’s always packed, no matter the season, so I guess It’s safe to say, fishing is a very popular activity here.”
Have you ever gone fishing?
“Yes,I have. I used to love going fishing with my grandfather when I was a kid. I remember he would take me to the local lake or stream to catch different kinds of fish, and It was always so much fun and full of great memories.”
“No,to be honest I’ve never gone fishing but I’ve always wanted to give it a try. I’ve heard it’s really peaceful and a great way to relax and enjoy nature.I hope one day i’ll be able to give it a go.”
“No, I’ve never tried it. To be honest, fishing isn’t for me, and I’ve never really wanted to give it a go. I guess It’s just not my thing, and I’d much rather spend time at the mall or out with friends.”
Have you ever been to a place where there are lots of fish?
“Yeah sure, I’ve been to a very big aquarium actually! It was really cool to be able to see all the different kinds of colourful fish swimming around. Plus, I was able to learn a lot about marine life and the different types of underwater ecosystems.”
“Yes, I have.I sometimes enjoy going to a very beautiful cafe close to my home, which has an outdoor pond of carp. It’s actually pretty amazing and there were so many fish!”
Have you ever watched a movie with a lot of fish?
“Yeah, I have. I remember watching a really wonderful animation movie, Finding Nemo, which has lots of colourful and funny fish, and a cute story. I loved it, and it was such a feel-good movie.”
“No, to be honest, I can’t think of one off the top of my head. I’ve seen some pretty strange movies, but I don’t think I’ve ever sat through a movie with a lot of fish in it.”

Do many people in your country like to keep fish at home?
“Yeah, tons of people like to keep fish as pets at home. Many people have a small aquarium in their homes, and some people even have a beautiful koi pond in their gardens. I think fish are super low maintenance compared to other pets, and always lovely to look at.
Do you like to eat fish?
“Sure! I absolutely love to eat fish, and find It so tasty, plus it’s really nutritious. I’m always trying different types of fish dishes and never get bored of them. It’s one of my favourite meals and I can’t get enough of it.”
“No. To be honest, I’m not really a fan of fish. I’m more of a steak and potatoes kind of person. I prefer beef, chicken, pork, or even just some good old pasta. Nothing against fish, I just don’t enjoy it much.”
Does anyone in your family enjoy fishing?
“Yeah my grandpa definitely loves it, and he goes fishing every weekend, down to the lake, and always catches something. He’s been doing it ever since I can remember, and he often took me along with him when I was a kid. It’s definitely something he really enjoys.”
“No, I actually can’t think of anyone in my family who is particularly into fishing. We prefer to spend our free time doing other activities, such as reading, cooking, playing games, and watching movies.”
Are there any suitable spots for fishing in your local area?
“Yes, there are a few. One popular spot is a very large park with a big lake that’s not too far from my house. It’s a nice spot to spend a day fishing and surrounded by nature. It’s always popular with local fishermen, especially on a Summer evening.”
“There may be some suitable spots for fishing in the local area, but I’m not really sure, as it’s something I don’t really have an interest in, and have never taken any notice of.”
