Describe an interesting job you have heard about

You should say:

  • What the job is
  • How you know of it
  • What do people do in this job

And explain why you think it’s interesting

Example 1.

describe an interesting job you heard of“I recently found out about the job of a Tiktok content creator and I think it’s pretty interesting. It’s basically just someone who creates videos on Tiktok or a similar platform, and then makes money from ad revenue and sponsorships.

I know about this job from my cousin, who is now doing it full-time. He’s been doing it for a few years now and it’s been incredible to watch him turn his hobby into a full-time job. He’s able to travel all over the world, meet amazing people and actually make a living doing something he loves.

For me, the most appealing thing about this kind of job is the freedom it gives you. You can create your own content, pick your own topics and even decide when you want to work. As well as that, it’s a great way to make money without having to work in an office or something.

I also think it’s really cool to be able to share your ideas and experiences with the world. You can create videos that make people laugh, give them advice or even just make them think. It’s a great way to connect with people, especially if you’re a bit of an introvert.

Overall, I think being a Tiktok content creator is a really cool job. It gives you the freedom to work when you want, do what you want and make money doing something you love. Plus, you get to share your ideas and experiences with the world. It’s definitely one of the most interesting jobs I have heard of,and something I would love to try doing in the future.

Thank you.”

Ad revenue is money earned from advertisements placed on a website or platform. For example, YouTube content creators make money from ad revenue when they place ads on their videos.

  • A content creator

Example 2 – describe an interesting job you have heard about

an interesting job ielts part 2“I think the job of a travel blogger would be an incredibly interesting job, as well as something I would love to do in the future. I know about this job because one of my old friends from high school is now a successful travel blogger and she seems to love her job so much. She gets to travel to some of the most amazing places all over the world and gets paid to document her experiences.

I think this job is interesting for a few reasons. For one, you get to explore the world and experience different cultures, which is something I’ve always been interested in. As well as that, you also get to meet new people and make lifelong friends, as well as getting to be creative with your writing and photography skills.

I really think it would be a great feeling to see the impact your work has on other people. Knowing that you’ve actually inspired someone to travel and experience new things must be a really rewarding feeling.

All in all, I feel the job of a travel blogger would be really interesting, and much more exciting than being cooped up in an office all day. It’s not only rewarding, but it would also allow me to explore different parts of the world and be creative. It’s definitely one of my dream jobs, and something I would love to do in the future.

Thank you.”

  • A blogger

A blogger is someone who writes content for a blog. For example, “Jane is a successful blogger who writes about topics related to health and wellness.”

Describe an interesting job you heard about- IELTS speaking part 3

What kinds of jobs are popular with young people in your country these days?

describe an interesting job“I think that young people today are drawn to a wide variety of jobs. I guess the present generation wants to find a job with more flexibility and independence, so I think many are drawn to more creative fields like graphic design or video game development.

As well as that, others are attracted to more technical fields such as  computer programming and engineering.

Personally, I think a lot of young people today are taking advantage of the ever-evolving job market and seeking out more creative and meaningful roles than in the past. They’re also more open to taking risks and embracing innovation.”

Are there any highly skilled jobs in your country that are actually low paid?

“Yes, I believe there are high skilled jobs that are low paid. For example, a lot of educators, such as teachers and professors, are highly educated and skilled, yet they don’t make a lot of money.

Other examples include social workers and mental health professionals, who are often undervalued and underpaid.

Personally, I think It really doesn’t seem fair that some of the most important jobs can pay so little, considering the amount of education and skill needed to do them.

What’s more, even jobs in the tech industry, like coders and web designers, don’t always pay well. In my opinion, it’s important to recognize the value of these jobs and make sure that people who take them on are fairly compensated.”

Do you think it’s easy for a young person to find a job in your country today?

an interesting job you would like to do“No, personally I think it can be extremely difficult for a young person to find a job these days. The job market is highly competitive, and there are often more applicants than job openings.

As well as that, It can be especially difficult for younger people who may lack experience to even get an interview.

What’s more, even if a young person does find a job, it often won’t pay enough to cover their living costs. Plus, many companies prefer to hire people with more experience and knowledge, which makes it even more difficult.

So, in my opinion, it’s becoming harder and harder for young people to find meaningful employment these days.”

Why do you think that some people keep changing jobs?

“I think that’s a good question, and I guess there are a number of reasons for this.

I think one reason that people keep changing jobs is because they are looking for a better salary, or more responsibility, as well as maybe a  different  kind of challenge.

On top of that, some people may also be hoping to find a more suitable work environment, with better benefits or more opportunity for growth.

As well as that, I think some people just aren’t satisfied with one job and are always looking for something new and exciting, while thers may be trying to find something that fits their skills and interests better.

Personally, I think people should always try to find a job they are happy with, but it’s understandable if they feel the need to keep searching to find something that is the right fit.”
