Describe a person you met at a party and enjoyed talking to
“I recently had the pleasure of attending a really wonderful party at one of my best friend’s homes. It was a wonderful night of socialising, playing games, and enjoying a lot of exceptionally good food. I also had the opportunity to meet a lot of very interesting people, but one person in particular stood out to me.
Her name was Sarah and she was a student who had just returned from studying abroad in the UK. She was a very vibrant and energetic person, and I couldn’t help but be drawn to her. She was full of fascinating stories about her experiences in Europe, and I was absolutely captivated by her enthusiasm, and fascinating stories of life abroad.
Sarah was also a great conversationalist, and she made me feel at ease right away. We talked for hours about our respective studies and travels, and, like myself, she had a real passion for learning.I was totally inspired by her drive and ambition. She was a real go-getter, and it was clear that she had a bright future ahead of her.
I was also struck by Sarah’s positive outlook on life. Despite all the challenges she’d faced while studying abroad, she was still able to look on the bright side of everything,as well as maintaining a positive attitude. She was a real glass-half-full kind of person. It was so refreshing to be around someone with such an optimistic outlook on life.
Overall, it was a pleasure meeting Sarah at the party. She was a truly inspiring person, and I’m sure I’ll never forget our conversation. I’m happy to have had the chance to get to know her and be reminded of the importance of living life to the fullest.
Thank you.”

Where do people get to meet or talk to new people?
“Well, personally, I think there are a variety of ways to meet new people, depending on where you live and what your interests are.
One way is to join a local club or organisation related to your hobbies or interests, which is a great way to meet people with similar interests and develop relationships.
As well as that, people could try attending community events such as festivals, fairs, or lectures. These events are usually packed with people from all different backgrounds, so you would have plenty of opportunities to meet new people and start conversations.
What’s more, there are many different online communities for people to meet and talk to new people. Whether you’re looking for new friends, a romantic partner, or just someone to chat with, you can find it all online.
I believe that meeting new people can be a great way to expand your horizons and learn something new. So people shouldn’t be afraid to take the plunge and get out there!”
To take the plunge
The idiom “to take the plunge” means to do something that is difficult, risky, or frightening.
For example, if you’ve been thinking of starting a business but you’re afraid of the risks involved, you might say, “I’m finally going to take the plunge and launch my business!”
What are some differences between chatting with friends and new people?
“Well, I guess chatting with friends and new people can both be enjoyable but there are some key differences. When chatting with friends, you can be more relaxed and informal. On top of that, you can joke around and be more open to express feelings and opinions. What’s more iIt can also be easier to stay on topic as well as being more comfortable to ask questions and share stories.
However, when chatting with new people, it can be more intimidating. People might be more hesitant to open up and share too much information. You might also want to be more careful to make sure you don’t say anything that might offend the other person. As well as that, you might also want to be more careful to stay on topic and be more formal.
No matter who you are chatting with,I think the most important thing is to be open, honest, and genuinely interested in what the other person has to say. This is the only way to build meaningful connections.”
Are there some topics not suitable for discussion with a person you have just met?
Yes,absolutely I think, there definitely are some topics that are not suitable for discussion with a person you have just met.
For starters, it is generally a good idea to avoid talking about anything too personal or sensitive. Questions about someone’s religious beliefs, political views, or family matters are probably best left off the table.
As well as that, it’s usually not a great idea to discuss controversial topics such as racial issues, the economy, or social issues.
Personally, I think that when we first meet someone, we should try to focus on having a light, and positive conversation. Asking people about their hobbies and interests, or talking about something funny that recently happened in your life.
Overall, I think it’s important to remember that it takes time to get to know a person very well, so it’s best to take it slow and keep things light. Getting to know someone takes time, and it’s best to do it in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.”
Is it difficult for people in Vietnam to talk to foreigners?
I guess it depends, but I think yes, generally iIt can be quite difficult for people in Vietnam to talk to foreigners. Language barriers can be a real challenge, as English is not widely spoken in Vietnam. As well as that, cultural differences can also make communication difficult, as people from different backgrounds may not understand each other’s values, beliefs, and customs.
However, these days, more and more people are learning English, especially younger people,so conversations between locals and foreigners in Vietnam can be successful.
Having said that, a lot of people who have actually learned some English, are actually quite shy, or perhaps don’t feel so confident with their use of English, so often avoid talking to foreigners.
However, I do believe that with some patience and understanding, it is possible for locals and foreigners to have meaningful conversations in Vietnam.”
