Describe a character from a film that you like
You should say:
Who the character is
Who played the character
What the character is like
And explain why you like this character
I have to say that Forest Gump is one of my all-time favourite movies, and the character of Forest Gump, played by Tom Hanks, is a real gem. He’s a simple, good-hearted and lovable man who has a lot of life experiences, from the Vietnam War to running across the country. He faces a variety of challenges with courage and grace, and he’s someone who you can’t help but root for.
I remember,I first watched Forest Gump when I was maybe 11 or 12, and was blown away by the movie. I really felt like I had taken the journey with him. He goes through so much and still manages to remain optimistic and kind. He never lets anything bring him down, and I really admire that about him. As well as that,he’s the kind of person who always sees things in a positive light, and his positivity is truly infectious.
Another reason I like the character so much is that he’s also a great listener, and you can feel how much he really cares about the people he meets. He’s always willing to lend a helping hand, and his desire to make the world a better place is truly inspiring. On top of that, Forest is also a great friend, who’s always willing to jump in and help when needed. Overall, I think Forest Gump is a truly amazing character and I’m so glad I got to experience his journey. Just talking about the character now is making me want to watch the movie yet again.
Thank you.”

What are some differences between acting in a movie or acting on stage?
Personally, I think that acting on stage and acting in a movie are quite different from each other. On stage, the actor has to project their voice and use exaggerated actions to reach the back of the theatre.
What’s more, they need to learn the entire script and remember all of their lines because there’s no retakes like in a movie.
In contrast,in a movie, there are multiple takes and close-up shots to help the actor deliver a great performance. On top of that, the actor only needs to focus on the scene they are filming as the editing process takes care of the rest.
As well as that, the actor does not need to project their voice as the sound equipment amplifies it. Another difference with movies is that there is more freedom when it comes to scene direction and acting as the actor has the chance to improvise.
All in all, I think both acting on stage and in a movie require different skills, but both are equally rewarding.
What benefits can children get from acting?
“Well, I guess Children can certainly benefit from acting. I guess it could help to build self-confidence, as they learn to be comfortable speaking in front of an audience, which can help in all areas of life.
As well as that, acting can also encourage creativity, as they explore characters and create stories, which is of course a great thing for young children.
On top of that, It could be a great way for children to develop their communication skills, as they learn to express themselves more clearly, as well as a great way for them to make new friends, as they collaborate with other actors and develop relationships.
So, yeah, I guess acting can be a wonderful experience and provide many benefits to children.”
What are some differences between reading the book and watching the book in movie form?
“Well, I think, reading a book and watching the book as a movie can be vastly different experiences. For starters, the reader has the opportunity to interpret the characters and their motivations in a way that is different from the filmmaker’s interpretation.
As well as that, the reader can take their own time to explore the story and absorb the details of the plot.
In contrast the moviegoer has to keep up with the pace of the filmmaker, as in general the book will be turned into a short 90 minutes long movie .
Another difference is that if reading a book, we can imagine the characters and settings in a way that is unique to them, whereas the moviegoer will be presented with the filmmaker’s vision.
Ultimately, the experience of reading a book and watching the movie can differ greatly, and the reader and moviegoer will take away unique interpretations and experiences.”
