describe a car journey you remember well“I recently took a really memorable  road trip with some friends that I’ll definitely never forget. We decided to take the scenic route, so the journey ended up being pretty long. It was about 8 hours from our hometown in _________ to _______, but we were all so excited to get there that the time flew by.

We were going to a music festival that was happening nearby, so we had the chance to check out some awesome bands and have a great time. We had been planning this trip for a while, so we were all really amped up to get there. I remember we stopped off at a few different places along the way, and it was really interesting to get to see some new places.

The drive was long but we had a blast the entire time. We turned up the music and sang along to all the songs, and talked and laughed the entire time. We even made a few random stops and played around in the fields we passed. It was great.

The whole trip was such an amazing experience. We were all so glad that we decided to go, and I’m sure we’ll all remember it for years to come. The drive was pretty long but it was definitely worth it, and It was such a great adventure. I’m so glad I finished  up my last college year with a trip like that.

Thank you.”

Describe a car journey that you remember well -IELTS speaking part 3.

What are the most common forms of transportation in your country?

“Well, Vietnam has come a long way since the days of the motorbike-only highways. Today, there are many popular forms of transportation in the country. I guess motorbikes are still the most common, with almost everyone owning one or at least having access to one.

Cars are also becoming increasingly popular, and now you can even find electric scooters in some cities. Public transport is also widely used, with buses, trains, and even ferries taking people around the country.

All of these forms of transportation have made travelling in Vietnam much more convenient these days. Personally, I love being able to hop onto a train or bus and get to a new city in no time. It’s also great to see more people using electric scooters, as this means fewer emissions and a cleaner environment.”

Do you think that private vehicles are harming the environment?

“Yes, I definitely think that private vehicles are harming the environment. For starters, cars produce a lot of harmful emissions which contribute to air pollution and climate change.

As well as that they also use up a lot of energy and resources, which can cause harm to the planet.

On top of that, the noise from cars can be disruptive to wildlife and create health risks for humans.

I feel like we should be doing more to reduce the number of private vehicles on the road. We should be encouraging people to use public transport and invest in cleaner, greener forms of transport. It’s the only way to protect our environment and ensure a sustainable future.”

What kind of problems can people face on their journey to work or school?

traffic problemsI think that people can face all kinds of problems on their daily commute to work or school. For example, they might be delayed due to traffic or bad weather, or they might have trouble finding a parking spot.

As well as that, they might also get stuck in crowded trains or buses, making their journey uncomfortable and stressful.

These kinds of issues can really put a damper on the start of someone’s day, leaving them feeling frustrated and exhausted before they even get to work or school.

  • To put a damper on something

To put a damper on something means to make it less enjoyable or successful.

For example: “The rainy weather put a damper on our picnic.”

Do you think that we will travel to work or school in the same way in the future?

“Wow! That’s a good question………I think the way we travel to work or school in the future could look very different. With more and more people opting for sustainable options, like electric cars and bicycles, I think we might see a big shift away from traditional vehicles.

What’s more, with more and more companies offering remote working and virtual classes, we may even see a decrease in the need to travel at all.

Personally, I’d love to see changes in the way we travel. I think it would be great to have more options to choose from, like electric buses or shared scooters. I  really believe that it would be extremely beneficial for the environment, and it would make getting around a lot easier.”
